Temporary equivalent fluid: If a temporary equivalent oil is used while the specified oil is unavailable, shorten the drain interval to about half the OEM interval: screw compressors 50% (e.g. 4,000 h → 2,000 h), piston compressors 50% (e.g. 1,000 h → 500 h), or change sooner if an oil analysis says so. Fully drain and flush. Don’t mix synthetic and mineral, or different synthetic types. Return to the OEM interval after a full change back to the specified oil.
